Personal Profile

Renato Panetta, English mother tongue, after graduating in French and German at the University of Bath, England, in 1976 and obtaining a Translator's Diploma at the Polytechnic of Central London, worked as an in-house translator at Marks & Clerk, London, Olivetti Spa, Italy, and RWS Translations, Gerrards Cross, England.  In 1985 he set up as a freelance translator specialised in patent translations and was also director of his own UK-based company "Italtrans Ltd" from 1996-2006.

Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting and the Chartered Institute of Linguists in the UK, he worked and lived in several European countries before moving to Switzerland and founding "Patent and Technical Translations".
